Smiling

Today i just wrote a comment written by a guest writer on the new paper. He was discussing about whether singaporeans still smile. I guess he has a very good point there in saying that Singaporeans are no more smiling. And also his reasons on y we are not smiling any more is the fact. Come to think about it, have we ever tot our family members or our little kids to smile at each other? and also nowadays kids are ever less friendly.....i use to remeber back in those days when i was young, race colour and language was no issue in mind just as long as we share our toys and make the best and realistic noise from the toys is the only thing that we were concern about. Playing soccer, catching at those humongous with sand and those wooden planks bridges playground and also poison ball, all u need to do is just stand there and those are playing will immediately approach u and ask "Want to Play?" now haiz is so sad to say that we come from a racial harmony country but do w play with each other, interact often? NO is only when it comes to NS, Studying in school(doing projects)and this depends also coz is always the one race group thing unless group by the teacher. when we go to the market also we dont hear the aunties speaking malays to the Mak cik, we seldom hear the malays askin the Aunties "Ku lui"ah ? Soon we will hear everyone speaking in the heaviest accent " Duo Sao Neh?" coz not long our markets will be infiltrated by China Chinese. And the mak ciks will only go to the malay stores onli and no more making buisness with the chinese and there will be less interactivity amoung the races.
another thing dat ponders me is how amazing and ignorant the Chinese China perceive us Singaporeans. Is like as if, all living being in Singapore are able to speak Mandarin and explain every freaking detail in Mandarin. Is so sad to see this happening coz if u come to a acountry u adapt to thier living and not ppl adapt to ur living...my goodnesss dat means from your bathing ettique, speaking on the phone, ur habits my please ADAPT.
